TaxFormify Features
Smart tax forms: build client intake forms with conditional logic so clients only see the questions that apply to them. Progress saves automatically, so a client can start on a phone and finish on a laptop.
Electronic signatures: send documents for signature and receive a certificate of signature capturing signer email, timestamp, IP address and geolocation. Suitable for engagement letters and Canadian Form T183. Not suitable for IRS Form 8879, which requires knowledge-based authentication.
Client portal: clients exchange documents securely without creating an account, which removes the single largest source of onboarding drop-off for small firms.
Automated reminders: configurable multi-step reminder cadences for outstanding forms, unsigned documents and approaching filing deadlines, sent in the client's own timezone.
Bulk email: send personalised email to hundreds of clients at once using template merge fields, with unsubscribe handling and suppression built in.
Team collaboration, document management, client messaging and a firm document library are included. Jurisdiction-aware throughout: CRA deadlines and forms for Canadian firms, IRS for US firms.
Frequently asked questions
How do TaxFormify's smart forms work?
Our smart forms use conditional logic to show or hide questions based on client responses. For example, if a client selects 'married' for marital status, spousal income questions appear automatically. Forms auto-save progress and work on any device, so clients can complete them at their convenience.
What do TaxFormify e-signatures include?
Every signed document comes with a Certificate of Signature: the signer's email, the timestamp, their IP address and approximate location, the signature image, and a public verification URL. That is an audit trail and a tamper-evidence record. TaxFormify does not verify the signer's identity — there is no knowledge-based authentication (KBA) — so it is not suitable for remote signing of IRS Form 8879, which the IRS requires KBA for. It suits engagement letters, IRS §7216 consents, in-person 8879, and Canada's T183. You remain responsible for ensuring your signing method meets IRS Publication 1345 and any CRA or provincial requirements that apply to you.
Can I send bulk emails to all my clients at once?
Absolutely. TaxFormify supports sending personalized emails to hundreds of clients simultaneously. You can use merge fields for client names, deadlines, and custom data. Each email appears individually addressed while being sent efficiently in bulk.
How do automatic reminders reduce my follow-up workload?
TaxFormify automatically sends reminder emails for incomplete forms, unsigned documents, and approaching deadlines. You set the schedule once, and the system handles follow-ups, removing the manual chase for missing documents.
What's included in the client portal feature?
The client portal provides secure document upload, two-way messaging, form completion, and document signing - all without clients needing to create an account. Clients receive a unique link to access their portal, making it frictionless for them and secure for you.
How does TaxFormify compare to using multiple separate tools?
TaxFormify replaces 5+ tools (JotForm, DocuSign, MailChimp, custom portals, TaxDome) with one integrated platform. This can save firms $5,000+ per year in subscription costs while eliminating the complexity of managing multiple systems that don't communicate with each other.
